Repeat Prescriptions
You can order repeat prescriptions by:
- Handing in at reception
- Sent by FAX
- By post enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope if you wish your prescription to be returned to you.
- Online via the link https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk (Please note you will need to register for this service. Please contact reception.)
We DO NOT take prescription requests by telephone.
If possible please return the second half of your computerised prescription. If this is not possible, please write your name, address, date of birth and medication required clearly on a piece of paper.
There is certain medication which cannot be requested on repeat (i.e. antibiotics). Please ask the doctors if you are in any doubt.
Your prescription will be ready for collection 2 working days after receipt.
Dispensing
We are a dispensing practice but this service is limited to patients that are within our dispensing area. The current prescription charge is £9.15 (for each quantity of a drug or appliance) and this is reviewed annually in line with the Department of Health. Payments for prescriptions are in cash (please try and have the correct money) or by cheque.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
