How Do I Make An Appointment?
You can make an appointment with the doctor or nurse by phoning the surgery or by calling in person when the reception is open:
You have a right to express a preference of practitioner and we will do our best to give you an appointment with the doctor of your choice. Should your preferred doctor not have a free appointment you will be offered an appointment with one of the other GPs in the practice. You may see any doctor at any of the CCA Care Partnership sites. However if you have an ongoing/long term issue it is advisable for you to see your current doctor
You will never be refused to see a doctor if one is available. If you no longer need your appointment please let us know.
Please remember that appointments are for ONE person only. If you feel your consultation may be lengthy, ask the receptionist for a DOUBLE APPOINTMENT when you book.
We offer a text messaging service to all our patients to ensure you do not forget your appointment. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please provide your mobile phone number to our reception staff. You will then automatically receive confirmation and reminders.
We offer a comprehensive telephone consultation service if you feel that your medical problem can be dealt with over the telephone, please talk to our reception team who will arrange for a Doctor to call you.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
